IMMACULATA, Pa. – Behind a trio of players with 10 or more kills, the Widener University women's volleyball team won a five set thriller against the Immaculata Mighty Macs 24-26, 25-17, 21-25, 25-20, 17-15 on Thursday night.

KEY PLAYERS
- Nicole Dorman led Widener with 18 kills and 18 digs, and four blocks for her ninth double-double of the season. She also hit .310 for the match.
- Claire Kaufmann had a career-high 15 kills, hitting .265. Kelsey Lee finished with 10 kills.
- As a team, the Blue and Gold hit .249, one of its highest hitting percentages of the year.
- Widener had a season-best 11 service aces, five by Ashley McAfee, who also led the Pride with 24 digs.

FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS
- Kaufmann led the Pride with six kills in a back and forth set. Lee contributed with four.
- The Blue and Gold opened up an 8-4 lead before the Mighty Macs chipped away and took an 18-17 lead.
- The Pride regained a 23-21 edge before Immaculata scored five of the last six points to win the set.

SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS
- Trailing 5-2 early, Widener went on an 11-4 run to take a 13-9 lead.
- The Pride continued strong, never holding less than a two point lead for the rest of the frame, eventually winning four of the final five points to claim victory.
- Widener hit .324 in the set with six different players recording a kill and committing just three attack errors.

THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS
- Neither team held more than a two point lead until the Mighty Macs went up 12-8.
- Widener quickly responded ripping off nine of the next 11 points to open up a 17-14 advantage.
- With the score tied 20-20, Immaculata scored five of the final six points to win the set and take a 2-1 lead in the match.

FOURTH SET HIGHLIGHTS
- The Blue and Gold opened up an early 8-4 lead and maintained the advantage until an IU run gave Immaculata a 14-13 lead.
- Widener battled back and regained control, scoring four points in a row, not relinquishing the lead for the remainder of the set.
- Dorman had five kills, two service aces, and three digs in the frame.

FIFTH SET HIGHLIGHTS
- Lee and Dorman each had three kills as Widener hit .280 in the frame.
- The Pride fell behind early 4-1 and trailed 13-9 before making its move.
- Undaunted, Widener finished the match strong, scoring eight of the final 10 points to claim victory.
