Chester, Pa. – Lycoming scored two late goals in the second half to record a 2-0 victory over the Widener University men's soccer team on Saturday evening at Leslie C. Quick Stadium.
The Warriors (7-5-3, MAC Commonwealth 2-2-1), who outshot the Pride 14-4, first got on the board with a goal from Kyle Stettenbaur in the 74th minute. Lycoming then added insurance when Jordan Logan capitalized off of a penalty shot in the 82nd minute to close out the scoring.
Josh Gildea made one save in the net for Lycoming to pick up the win.
Dave Sousa (Springfield, Pa.) was tagged with the loss despite making three saves for the Pride.
Widener (3-9-1, MAC Commonwealth 1-3-0) will regroup and return to action on the road against Alvernia Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 7 P.M.
