RADNOR, Pa. (Jan. 16, 2016) – Freshman Aaron Green (Camden-Wyoming, Pa.) factored into three event victories in leading the Widener University men's swimming team to convincing triumphs over host Cabrini and Wilkes in dual meet competition on Saturday afternoon. The Pride defeated the Colonels, 156-27, and registered a 138-49 win over the Cavaliers.

After swimming the leadoff leg for the first-place 200-yard medley relay that finished in 1:41.37, Green registered easy wins in the 200 IM and 100 back. The freshman's time of 2:03.43 in the 200 IM was more than eight seconds ahead of his competition, while his mark of 56.54 seconds in the 100 back bettered the second-place finisher by nearly five seconds.

Madore, who joined Green on the 200 medley relay, won the 100 fly in 56.28 and the 100 breast in 1:03.01. Gaynor captured the 100 free in 46.35, the 200 free in 2:06.70, and anchored the 200 free relay which hit the wall in 1:26.64.

Widener, which improved to 8-3 in dual meets and 5-1 against Middle Atlantic Conference competition, returns to the Schwartz Center for its final home of the season on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 1:00 p.m. against Arcadia. Seniors Stephen Ranalli (Wildwood Crest, N.J.) and Madore will be recognized for their contributions to the program during the meet.
