Women's Soccer Held to a Scoreless Draw Against Washington (Md.)

CHESTERTOWN, Md. (September 5, 2015) – The Widener women's soccer team forced the keeper to make some tough plays, as they were held to a scoreless draw against Washington  (Md.) at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium.
 
The Blue and Gold recorded 12 shots with eight of them on target in the 110-minute game. The Shorewomen only notched two shots in the game.
 
Senior Nicole Foschini (Laurel Springs, N.J.) finished the game with two shots. She forced Washington's goalie Courtney Colbert to make one save.
 
Freshman Brielle Errico (Monmouth Junction, N.J.) led the Pride with five shots and two on goal.
 
Junior Karli Luker (Mechanicsburg, Pa.), sophomores Lara Houck (Hughesville, Md.) and Lauren Wilson (National Park, N.J.), and freshman Shea Scannell (Linwood, N.J.) and Mikaela Malofiy (Horsham, Pa.) each added a shot on goal for the Blue and Gold.
 
Senior Olivia Pfautz (Ephrata, Pa.) allowed no goals in 110-minutes in net for the Pride.
 
The Blue and Gold will be back in action on Sunday as they host TCNJ at 4:00 p.m. at Leslie C. Quick Stadium.
