Men's Basketball Falls to Lebanon Valley in Commonwealth Battle

Men's basketball fought hard in a Commonwealth battle but was unable to come away with the victory as Widener fell to Lebanon Valley, 80-73, in Annville, PA.
 
Kendall Green (Mount Laurel, NJ) led all Pride scorers with 17 points and four rebounds. The sophomore guard added three steals, one assist and one block against the Dutchmen.
 
Sophomore John Fender (Wallingford, PA) added 16 points for the Pride. He shot five-of-11 from the field and five-of-nine from the free throw line. The guard added four rebounds, two assist one steal on Saturday.
 
Kevin Agnew recorded a game high 31 points for Lebanon Valley (12-1, 6-7 CC). He shot an impressive 19-of-20 from the free throw line and five-of-15 from the field. Zach Mrozek added 17 points and shot eight-of-eight from the free throw line.
 
Widener (9-13, 2-11 CC) outscored Lebanon Valley in the paint with a 34-18 advantage. The Pride shot 41.8% from the field and 28.6% from three point range.
 
Jermaine Kamara (Cork, Ireland) added 15 points and six rebounds for the Pride. The junior finished with four steals and three assist.
 
Widener will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Frederick, MD to take on Hood at 8:00 pm in Commonwealth action.
