CHESTER, Pa. – Sammy Bost scored twice to lead Lebanon Valley past the Widener University women's soccer team, 2-0, in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth opener for both schools on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Leslie C. Quick Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, Bost put the Dutchwomen on the scoreboard when she headed home a corner kick taken by Rachel Cummings in the 69th minute. Approximately 10 minutes later, the junior provided insurance when she took a through ball from Kira Pushart and finished a breakaway opportunity against Pride goalkeeper
Olivia Pfautz (Ephrata, Pa.).
Taylor Reinhold made one save in net for Lebanon Valley (8-2, MACC 1-0), which had a 10-5 advantage in total shots and only allowed the Pride to take one on target. Pfautz was tagged with the loss despite making six saves for the Pride.
