Ferrucci Leads Women's Basketball to Conference Road Victory Over Lycoming

Junior Ally Ferrucci (Vineland, NJ) recorded a double-double as she led women's basketball to their third straight victory as Widener defeated Lycoming, 68-46, in Williamsports, Pa.
 
Ferrucci recorded a game high 16 points and 11 assist in 37 minutes played. She shot three-of-eight from the field and ten-of-18 from the free throw line. The junior guard recorded two steals and seven rebounds, all coming on the defensive boards.
 
Junior Brianna Wylie (Mount Laurel, NJ) added a double-double for the Pride. She recorded 12 points,11 rebounds and one block. Eight of her rebounds came on the defensive glass in the victory. The junior shot five-of-seven from the field and two-of-five from the free throw line.
 
Widener (7-6, 1-3 CC) held the advantage on the glass over the Warriors, 54-26. Lycoming (9-3, 2-2 CC) was held to only 26.1% shooting from the field in the entire game. The Pride recorded 36 points inside the paint and 17 fast break points.
 
Courtney Colella (Cinnaminson, NJ) led the Pride with 13 rebounds, ten of them on defensive. The senior added seven points and two steals in the victory.
 
Shelby Mueller led the Warriors with a team high 15 points. She added four rebounds and two steals. Lycoming recorded 12 second chance points and 22 points inside the paint.
 
The Pride will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Lebanon Valley in Commonwealth Conference action at 6:00 pm in the Schwartz Athletic Center.
