Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Remondelli Scores Four Goals in Men's Soccer's Win Over Penn St. Brandywine

Junior Tori Remondelli (Point Pleasant, NJ) scored four goals to set a school record as Widener cruised to a 5-0 victory over Penn State Brandywine at Leslie C. Quick Stadium.

Remondelli broke the previous school record of three goals held by five student-athletes, with Eric Wyzkowski being the last to do it in 2002.  His eight points also is a school record, beating the mark of seven accomplished twice and last by Bill James against Penn State Abington on October 2, 2007.

The junior's first goal was set up by a corner kick from sophomore John Colbert (Louisville, KY). Remondelli received the short corner in front of the box before knocking home the long distance shot in the ninth minute.

Remondelli rounded up a loose ball inside the box in the 14th minute to give the Pride a two-goal lead.

Moments before the official was going to blow his whistle for halftime, the Pride were set up with a free kick from about 20 yards. Remondelli took the free kick to score his third of the game.

The junior scored his fourth goal in the 68th minute to set the school record for goals in an individual game.

Freshman Matt Levy (Carlisle, Pa) recorded his first collegiate goal in the 73rd minute of play with a shot from five yards.

Dave Sousa (Springfield, Pa) recorded four saves as the sophomore earned his fourth shutout of the season.

Widener takes on Gwynedd Mercy at noon on Saturday in Gwynedd Valley, Pa.
