Baseball Postponed Wednesday at Neumann; Re-Scheduled for Saturday

In Widener's latest postponement, the baseball team announced its game Wednesday at Neumann is off and will be made up Saturday at 11:00 am in Aston, PA.
 
Widener also announced it added a home game for Monday, April 28 against Susquehanna, starting at 4:00 pm.
 
The Pride return to action Thursday for the start of a three-game Commonwealth Conference series against Elizabethtown, starting at 3:30 pm in Chester.
 
Widener (20-9, 11-4 CC) is on a roll with nine straight victories for its longest winning streak since 2008 and now is more than halfway toward the team's longest run of 17, accomplished in 1978.  Freshman Michael Elfreth (Washington Twp., NJ), the reigning conference Athlete of the Week, is batting a team-best .431 with 50 hits and a .491 slugging percentage.  Junior Robert Barth (Norristown, PA) is 5-1 on the mound and senior Colin Weiss (Red Hill, PA) is 4-0.
