Men's Basketball Ends Skid With 70-54 Triumph at Lycoming

Senior Andrew Radomicki (Media, PA) matched his career high with 20 points to help Widener pull away in the second half for a 70-54 Commonwealth Conference win at Lycoming in WIlliamsport, PA.
 
Widener (9-10, 3-9 CC) in the opening half used an 11-2 run, courtesy of Radomicki's six points, to open a 24-15 lead with 9:41 left.  Radomicki ended the half with nine points, leading the Pride to a 32-25 halftime cushion.
 
The Pride finally took control with a 16-3 spurt over 4 1/2 minutes for a 53-38 lead with 9:06 remaining.  Radomicki, who capped the run on a 3-pointer, scored six points in the burst along with junior Dillon Fields (Medford, NJ).
 
Radomicki had a day by equaling his career best in points from November 16 against Delaware Valley and hitting a personal-high five 3-pointers for the Pride, who shot 46 percent (26-of-56) from the field.
 
Fields and sophomore Logan Murray (Westmont, NJ) scored 12 points apiece and senior Rob McPherson (Bowie, MD) grabbed 12 rebounds for the Pride, who snapped a six-game skid and notched their third victory in their last four trips to Williamsport.
 
Michael Rudy scored 15 points for the Warriors (8-10, 4-8), who were limited to just 30 percent shooting (18-of-60) from the field and only 3-of-19 from 3-point range.
 
Widener is home Wednesday against Stevenson at 8:00 pm.  Prior to that in the women's 6:00 pm contest, the Pride will host "Play 4Kay" to raise money for breast cancer research.  Fans are asked to wear pink and help support the cause.
