Gallagher Ties Career High as Women's Basketball Defeats Apprentice School

Freshman Allison Gallagher (Souderton, Pa) recorded a career high 22 points as Widener defeated the Apprentice School, 71-61, at the Juniata Holiday Tournament in Huntingdon, Pa.
 
Gallagher shot nine-of-18 from the field with six rebounds in the victory for the Pride. The freshman shot three-of-seven from long distance.
 
Brianna Wylie (Mount Laurel, NJ) added a double-double for the Pride with 19 rebounds and 14 points. The junior forward recorded a game high 12 defensive rebounds as Widener outrebounded the Builders, 60-33. She shot five-of-eight from the field in the victory.
 
Courtney White led the Apprentice School (4-6) with 18 points. She added two steals and four rebounds for the Builders. Ylexzis Traeger finished with 15 points in the loss for the Apprentice School.
 
Junior Ally Ferrucci (Vineland, NJ) added ten assist, six rebounds and six points.
 
Widener (5-6, 0-3 CC) will be back in action in the championship game tomorrow against Heidelberg at 2:00 pm in Huntingdon, Pa.
