Men's Basketball Earns Road Victory Over Drew, Nicholson Records Team High 26 Points

Junior David Nicholson (Odenton, Md.) led men's basketball to victory as Widener defeated Drew, 80-69, in Madison, NJ.
 
The forward recorded a team high 26 points and four rebounds in the victory for the Pride. He shot five-of-six from the free throw line.
 
Senior Greg Lawson (Mount Holly, NJ) added 15 points and seven rebounds.
 
Widener (9-2, 2-1 CC) held the advantage on the glass, 44-23. Freshman Sardayah Sambo (Middletown, DE) recorded a team high nine rebounds, while senior guard Laron Byrd (Philadelphia, Pa) finished with eight rebounds.
 
Mike Klinger recorded a game high 27 points for Drew (6-3, 2-0 LC). He led the Rangers with six rebounds and four steals.
 
Junior Jermaine Kamara (Cork, Ireland) finished with 17 points and five rebounds.
 
The Pride will be back in action on Saturday when they host St. Mary's (Md.) at 3:00 pm in the Schwartz Center.
