Lawson Records a Double-Double as Men's Basketball Falls to St. Mary's (MD)

Senior Greg Lawson (Mount Holly, NJ) recorded a double-double for men's basketball, as Widener fell to St. Mary's (Md.) at the Schwartz Center, 60-46.
 
Lawson recorded a game high 15 rebounds and a team high 14 points for the Pride. The forward added two blocked shots and shot six-of-ten from the field.
 
Freshman Sardayah Sambo (Middletown, DE) recorded a double-double for the Pride with ten points and 12 rebounds. The guard added two assist and one block in the defensive battle. He shot four-of-four from the free throw line.
 
Widener (9-3, 2-1 CC) held the advantage on the glass over the Seahawks, 45-38.
 
St. Mary's (5-3, 2-1 CAC) received an 18 point effort from Nick Laquerre. He added three rebounds, two steals, and one block in the victory for the Seahawks.
 
Laron Byrd (Philadelphia, Pa) added nine points and four rebounds for the Pride. The junior also added two assist and two steals.
 
The Pride will be back in action on January 3rd, as they travel to take on Lycoming in Commonwealth action at 3:00 pm in Williamsport, Pa.
