Women's Basketball Falls in Commonwealth Play to Stevenson

Women's basketball fought hard but was unable to steal a victory on the road as Widener fell to Stevenson, 75-53, in Owings Mills, Md.
 
Junior forward Brianna Wylie (Mount Laurel, NJ) recorded ten points for the Pride. She added four rebounds, three steals and one block in the Commonwealth Conference match-up.
 
Ally Ferrucci (Vineland, NJ) added nine points and six assist for Widener (4-6, 0-3 CC). The junior shot four-of-five from the free throw line.
 
Stevenson (5-2, 2- CC) barely held the advantage on the glass as the Mustangs only managed one more board than the Pride, 38-37.
 
Seniors Courtney Colella (Cinnaminson, NJ) and Kristina Reiter (Sewell, NJ) and freshman Allison Gallagher (Souderton, Pa) each added seven points against Stevenson.
 
The Mustangs were led by a double-double from forward Sara Tarbert. The sophomore recorded 22 points and 14 rebounds for Stevenson.
 
The Pride will be back in action on December 30th when they travel to take on the Apprentice School in Huntingdon, Pa at 1:00 pm in the Juniata Holiday Tournament.
