Men's basketball fought hard but was not able to steal a Commonwealth Conference win on the road as Widener fell to Stevenson 73-65 in Owings Mills, Md.
Junior
David Nicholson (Odenton, Md.) recorded a team high 20 points against Stevenson. The forward shot seven-of-fifteen from the field and three-for-three from the free throw line.
Senior forward
Greg Lawson (Mount Holly, NJ) added 12 points, six rebounds, and one block for the Pride.
Stevenson (7-2, 2-0 CC) held the advantage the boards over the Pride, 42-40. Widener (8-2, 2-1 CC) was held to a 39.7 field goal percentage against the Mustangs.
Guard Sean Farr recorded a double-double for the Mustangs. He had a game high 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Sardayah Sambo (Middletown, DE) recorded 12 points in the loss to Stevenson. The freshman added five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. Junior
Jermaine Kamara (Cork, Ireland) led the Pride on the boards with ten.
Widener will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to take on Drew in Madison, NJ at 7:00 pm.
