Widener's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be handing out ice cream sandwiches at halftime of Saturday's women's soccer game vs. Rutgers-Newark to all students.
Game time is 5:00 pm. Widener (4-0-1) is off to its best start since 2009 and is ranked 10th in the first National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Mid-Atlantic Region Poll.
SAAC is beginning the initiative to help support and promote Widener Athletics. Widener's SAAC has made an invigorating effort toward working with community projects and building leadership through athletics and the University. The SAAC also plays an active role outside the University, participating in events with other schools in the Middle Atlantic Conference to offer input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives.
