Brennan's First-Half Double-Double Lifts Men's Basketball to Seventh Straight Win, 91-70 Over LVC

Senior Jack Brennan (Stratford, NJ) had a double-double in the first half, when Widener took control against Lebanon Valley and cruised to a 91-70 Commonwealth Conference victory for its seventh straight win at Schwartz Center.
 
Brennan had 13 points and 10 rebounds in the stanza for the Pride, who shot 51 percent (21-of-41) from the floor and canned five 3-pointers.  Junior Rob McPherson (Bowie, MD) scored 12 points in the half and senior Perry Wright (Severn, MD) had 10.
 
Brennan closed with 17 points and 11 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the season and 13th career for the Pride (18-6, 9-4 CC).  Junior Lamar Jackson (Philadelphia, PA) scored 20 points, McPherson netted 18 and Wright had 16, eight rebounds and five assists.
 
Widener shot 49 percent (33-of-67) overall, hit eight 3-pointers and is riding its longest winning streak since a nine-game run late in the 2008-09 campaign.
 
Danny Brooks scored 26 points on 12-of-22 shooting to go with seven rebounds for the Dutchmen (11-13, 4-9), who shot 39 percent (28-of-71) overall.  Jordan Stewart had 16 points and seven rebounds with Joe Meehan adding 12 and seven.
 
Widener keeps its one-game lead over Lycoming (8-5) for second place in the conference.
 
Widener on Saturday closes the regular season at Albright, beginning at 4:00 pm.
