Men's Basketball Rolls to 87-64 Victory Over Stevenson

Sophomore Dillon Fields (Medford, NJ) scored a career-high 23 points for Widener, which netted the game's first 13 points and was never headed en route to an 87-64 Commonwealth Conference win over Stevenson at Schwartz Center. 
 
Widener's run spanned the first four minutes as juniors Andrew Radomicki (Media, PA) and Bob Makor (Philadelphia, PA) scored four points apiece.
 
The Pride (2-5, 2-2 CC) closed the half up 42-22 by shooting 50 percent (18-of-36) from the floor and holding the Mustangs to just 28 percent (7-of-25).  Fields was on a tear with 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting to go with five rebounds.

Widener's defense did its part by limiting Stevenson to only 28 percent shooting (7-of-25) in the opening half and 3-of-10 from 3-point range.
 
Fields shot 9-of-14 from the floor and added eight rebounds, four assists and three 3-pointers over 32 minutes.  Junior Rodney Brown (Lake Valley, NJ) scored 17 points, Radomicki netted 13 and sophomore Greg Lawson (Mount Holly, NJ) had 10 and 10 rebounds for his third double-double in the last four games.
 
Alfonzo Hawkins scored 15 points, Brett Burrier netted 14 and James Milton had 13 for Stevenson (4-3, 1-3), who shot 37 percent (22-of-59) from the field.
 
Widener on Wednesday visits Arcadia for an 8:00 pm start in Glenside, PA.
