Men's Soccer Falls, 2-0, at Arcadia

Widener played Arcadia even for most of the match before being handed a 2-0 Commonwealth Conference setback in Glenside, PA.

The teams remained scoreless until the 69th minute, when Zach Todd converted a penalty kick to give the Knights a 1-0 lead. The home team doubled the margin in the 75th minute when Tim O'Leary scored off a feed from John Pacena.

Senior DJ DiPaola (Havertown, PA) took two shots and reigning Commonwealth Conference Goalkeeper of the Week Jakub Valdner (Bratislava, Slovakia) made two saves for the Pride (4-6-1, 1-1 CC).

Joe Berticco attempted four shots and Ryan Lantzy came up with two saves for the Knights (4-3-2, 1-1).

Widener on Saturday hosts Lycoming on Homecoming Weekend as part of a doubleheader with the women's team. The men's contest starts after 7:30 pm, which follows the women's 5:30 pm contest.
