Women’s Soccer Handed 8-0 Loss By Lebanon Valley

Widener traveled to Annville, PA to take on Lebanon Valley and came home with an 8-0 Commonwealth Conference loss today at Herbert Field.
 
Widener fell behind early in the game when Lebanon Valley (9-6-1, 5-2-1 CC) scored two goals just four minutes apart. The first came 1:34 into the game when Morgan Miller crossed the ball the Brittany Flood who found the back of the net. At 5:24, Miller scored her first of three today—also her first of the season—with the assist going to Nicole Snyder. Miller and Sara Shissler added to the scoring before the halftime break to give Lebanon Valley a 4-0 cushion.
 
Three minutes into the second half Miller completed her hat trick, with the assist going to Amanda Douglass. Snyder scored her twelfth goal of the season, with Flood getting an assist. Raeann LaFlame scored one and a second goal from Shissler set the teams apart by eight.
 
For the Pride (5-10-1, 2-6), Kelly Buckley (Villanova, PA) took four shots and Karen Thomas (Mullica Hill, NJ) put up three. Both Jenna Pedrick (Sicklerville, NJ) and Amanda Doran (Philadelphia, PA) took two shots.
 
Vanessa Hejnas (Delran, NJ) spent 69:05 in goal, making 14 saves. Olivia Pfautz (Ephrata, PA) completed to remaining 20:55 in goal, getting one save.
 
Widener on Saturday will host Elizabethtown for its final regular season game, beginning at 5:30 pm followed by the men's contest at 7:30 pm.
