Men's and Women's Swimming Roll to Victories at Elizabethtown

A combined seven swimmers posted four victories apiece as Widener men's and women's squads cruised to Middle Atlantic Conference victories at Elizabethtown.
 
The women won 12 of the 14 races in posting a 179.5-79.5 triumph.  The men took 13 of 14 races in its 150-84 win.
 
Laura Farrar (Longmont, CO), fellow sophomore Laura Harris (Phoenix, MD) and junior Kelsey Lake (Ijamsville, MD) each recorded four wins.  The trio was part of the 200-yard medley relay that won in 1:55.04 and also included sophomore Alicia Detweiler (Perkasie, PA).
 
Farrar grabbed the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:08.52, the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:29.72 and the 200-yard IM in 2:18.85.  Harris won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.02 and the 50-yard freestyle in 25.64 seconds.  Lake captured the 200-yard freestyle in 2:00.65 and the 200-yard backstroke in 2:14.18.
 
Harris and Lake also were part of the 400-yard freestyle relay that stopped the clock in 3:50.91 and also included Detweiler as well as sophomore Sara Leonelli (Vineland, NJ).
 
Sophomore Colleen Tighe (Linwood, NJ) won the 1000-yard freestyle in 11:14.80 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:31.23.  Freshman Ashleigh Bothwell (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:31.81.
 
On the men's side, junior Michael Roth (Columbia, MD), sophomore Michael Lawley (Philadelphia, PA), Charlie Schindler (Pasadena, MD) and fellow senior Jordan Mulligan (Dingmans Ferry, PA) all won four times.  All were part of the winning 200-yard medley relay that finished in 1:44.39.
 
Roth grabbed the 200-yard butterfly in 2:09.56, the 200-yard backstroke in 2:10.61 and the 100-yard butterfly in 58.21 seconds.  Lawley won the 100-yard backstroke in 55.77 seconds and the 50-yard freestyle in 23.52 seconds.
 
Schindler captured the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:22.79 and the 200-yard IM in 2:10.10.  Mulligan grabbed the 200-yard freestyle in 1:49.06 and the 100-yard freestyle in 49.64 seconds.
 
Schindler, Lawley and Mulligan teamed with freshman Andrew Olchowecky (Philadelphia, PA) to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:28.93.
 
Freshman Vadim Belogorodsky (Huntingdon Valley, PA) won the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:52.42 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:15.18.
 
Both teams on Wednesday visit Division I Delaware, starting at 6:00 pm in Newark, DE.
