Olivia Yoh Scores in Double Overtime for Women’s Soccer in 1-0 Win Against FDU-Florham

Sophomore Olivia Yoh (Wernersville, PA) scored on a header 3:33 into the second overtime for Widener in a thrilling 1-0 victory over FDU-Florham at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.
 
Freshma Jenna Pedrick (Sicklerville, NJ) lofted a corner kick from the left side to Yoh, who got a perfect head on it just under the cross bar for her first goal of the season and fifth career.
 
It capped a game in which the Pride (4-3-1) overcame a 13-11 shots discrepancy to notch their fourth victory in five games.  Devan Doyle (Woodbury Heights, NJ) took four shots and fellow junior Vanessa Hejnas (Delran, NJ) made six saves for Widener.
 
Claire Donohue fired five shots and Melanie Pierson came up with four saves for the Devils (4-7).
 
Widener is home Friday against Messiah as part of a doubleheader with the men's team, beginning at 5:00 pm.
