Women's Soccer Takes Rutgers-Newark 1-0

Senior Brittany Harvis (Delran, NJ) scored in the 30th minute as Widener posted a 1-0 victory at Rutgers-Newark in Newark, NJ.

Harvis collected the ball and shot it into the lower right side of the goal past goalkeeper Danielle Griscom, who had six saves.

Junior Vanessa Hejnas (Delran, NJ) had eight saves and senior Brittany Balentine (Medford, NJ) took five shots for Widener (1-2-1).

Balentine and freshman Stephanie Dickinson (Sicklerville, NJ) were named to the all-tournament team.

Rutgers-Newark fell to 2-4.

Widener takes on Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday at home at 7:00 pm.
