Field Hockey Earns 2-0 Victory vs. Immaculata

Senior Colleen Cormier (Westampton, NJ) scored once and sophomore Devon Biglin (Ocean City, NJ) also tallied for Widener in a 2-0 victory over Immaculata at Edith R. Dixon Field.

Biglin scored first for the Pride at the 17:00 mark with an assist by senior Kate Fay (West Chester, PA). Fay also assisted with Cormier's goal at 59:11 in the second period.

Brittany Creighton (Pitman, NJ) and Katie Ferguson (Glen Mills, PA) both had two shots, and Kate Fay had one, along with her two assists.

Immaculata tried to make a comeback with 11 shots, but freshman Maggie Karmeris (Wilmington, DE) had the goal locked down and allowed no goals.

Karmeris totaled eight saves for the Pride (1-0).

Widener will travel to Neumann for its next game on Thursday, September 8.
