Women's Lacrosse Falls, 16-7, to FDU-Florham

Widener gave up a scoring barrage in the game's first 15 minutes and suffered a 16-7 Middle Atlantic Conference loss to FDU-Florham at Edith R. Dixon Field.
 
The Devils (5-3, 4-1 MAC) raced to a 9-1 lead in the first quarter of the game thanks to four goals from Breana Kilpatrick. Jennie Jones netted three goals in that spurt and Lindsey Parent added two.
 
This helped FDU post a 21-8 shots advantage in the opening half and 36-18 overall.
 
Kilpatrick ended with five goals, Jones had four and Sara Franckowiak contributed four assists for the Devils. Ashley Smith made five saves over 30 minutes and Parent added five ground balls.
 
Junior Jen Harnden (Hershey, PA) scored four goals to go with four draw controls, senior Calina Walz (Medford, NJ) had two goals, three assists and four draw controls with junior Rachel Porter (Medford, NJ) getting a goal and two assists for the Pride (4-5, 2-3). Junior Linda Salcedo (Media, PA) made 10 saves.
 
Widener hits the road Saturday to face Misericordia in Dallas, PA, beginning at 1:00 pm.
