Widener received solid pitching, but errors proved to be the team's undoing in an 8-7 loss to Augustana (IL) in Winter Haven, FL.

Junior Matt Day (Plymouth Meeting, PA) yielded just two earned runs and six hits over five innings with four strikeouts in a no-decision. West Chester, PA junior Rick Kazigian (0-1) was charged with two unearned runs and two hits over four innings with two strikeouts.

Alex Oliver (Lebanon, NJ) had three hits and three RBI, fellow senior Tom DeAngelis (Pottstown, PA) posted two hits that included a triple and junior Sean Saverio (Horsham, PA) also had two hits for the Pride (5-2), who had their five-game winning streak snapped.

Widener on Thursday closes its Florida trip with a doubleheader against Milwaukee School of Engineering, beginning at noon.
