Men's and Women's Swimming Notch One School Record and Several Wins at Albright

Widener saw one school record fall and posted eight victories as the women's team was handed a 113-92 loss and the men fell 114-78, both at Middle Atlantic Conference rival Albright in Reading, PA.
 
Sophomore Laura Farrar (Longmont, CO) recorded three wins, including breaking her own school record in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:27.11.  She also won the 200-yard IM in 2:14.24 and helped the 400-yard medley relay team win in 4:08.74 that included junior Kelsey Lake (Ijamsville, MD), sophomore Laura Harris (Phoenix, MD) and freshman Caitlyn Howard (Cherry Hill, NJ).
 
Harris grabbed the 200-yard backstroke in 2:10.50 and Lake captured in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.00.
 
The men's 400-yard medley relay team was victorious in 3:46.08 and included Charlie Schindler (Pasadena, MD), fellow senior Jordan Mulligan (Dingmans Ferry, PA), junior Michael Roth (Columbia, MD) and sophomore Michael Lawley (Philadelphia, PA).
 
Schindler also won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:21.70 and Roth took the 200-yard butterfly in 2:07.62.
 
Widener is off until November 19, when it competes at the Rowan Cup in Glassboro, NJ.
