Women's Soccer Takes Home A 2-0 Victory From Goucher

Widener shutout Goucher 2-0 in Towson, MD for a big non-conference victory.

Just eight minutes away from half, Widener took the lead 1-0 as Goucher put the ball into their own net. Brittany Harvis (Delran, NJ) shot twice for the Pride (5-4-1) and eight other Widener players had a shot of their own. Jenna Pedrick (Sicklerville, NJ) at the 76-minute mark fed the ball to Alyssa Scala (Sayville, NY), who scored to give the Pride their second goal of the night.

Junior goalkeeper Vanessa Hejnas made two saves and did not allow anything to get by her.

Sam Schlosburg and Lindsey Puopolo each took three shots and goalkeeper Regan Foy made six saves for Goucher (5-4).

Widener takes on Lycoming in its second Commonwealth Conference match at PPL Park in Chester, PA beginning at 6:00 pm.
