Men’s And Women’s Swimming Fall at Scranton

Widener's men's and women's posted individual victories, but could not come out with a double win as the men lost 155-102 and the women lost 138-124 at Scranton.
 
Three from the women's team posted double victories for the Pride. Colleen Tighe (Linwood, NJ) came home with two individual victories, taking the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:32.08 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:37.15. Jennifer Barkofski (Norristown, PA) ended second behind Tighe in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:38.28. Kelsey Lake (Ijamsville, MD) finished first in the 200-yard freestyle and the 200-yard backstroke with times of 1:59.32 and 2:13.93, respectively.

Laura Harris (Phoenix, MD) led the pack in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.26. She also took first place in the 200-yard IM, ending with a time of 2:15.82. The women's 200-yard medley relay team also took first place in 1:56.04.
 
Charlie Schindler (Pasadena, MD) came in first place in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:47.45. Michael Lawley (Philadelphia, PA) took first in the 100-yard backstroke in 55.79. Michael Roth (Columbia, MD) took first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:05.87 and Ray Conover (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ) followed close behind, finishing second in 2:09.93.

Jordan Mulligan (Dingmans Ferry, PA) finished first in the 100-yard freestyle in 50.32 and second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:49.23.
 
Widener's next meet is against Swarthmore at home on Wednesday, beginning at 6:00 pm.
