Field Hockey Suffers 8-2 Loss To #19 Lebanon Valley

Katie Ferguson (Glen Mills, PA) and Emily Norcross (Erial, NJ) provided Widener with offense, but the team fell short 8-2 against #19 Lebanon Valley in today's Commonwealth Conference faceoff in Annville, PA.

Norcross, Ferguson, Kate Fay (West Chester, PA), Nicole Nardone (Garwood, NJ) and Brittany Creighton (Pitman, NJ) each took two shots. But Ferguson and Norcross were the only ones to get past Lebanon Valley goalkeeper Christine Poletti. Goalkeepers Maggie Karmeris (Wilmington, DE) and Jessica Sochocky (Hammonton, NJ) made five and four saves, in that order, for Widener (7-7, 2-3 CC).

Four different Dutchmen (13-4, 4-1) players scored, including four from Jocelyn Novak, which makes her the NCAA Division III all-time goals leader.

The Pride travel to Alvernia for their final regular season Commonwealth Conference game on Tuesday, beginning at 4:00 pm.
