Men's Soccer Suffers 1-0 Loss To Arcadia

(boxscore)
Widener battled through the entire game, but could not come up with a victory in a 1-0 Commonwealth Conference loss to Arcadia at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.

The first half left the score a 0-0 draw with only six shots taken between the two teams. The game looked as if it was going to be forced into overtime when in the 85th minute, Arcadia's Joseph Bertucci scored the only goal of the game off of a pass from Zachary Todd.

The Pride (3-8-2, 0-3 CC) took eight shots during the game. DJ DiPaola (Havertown, PA) and Dan Koch (Perkasie, PA) each took two attempts. Goalkeeper Dan Price (Norristown, PA) made four saves and Senior Ryan Frantz (Marlton, NJ) made one. Widener and Arcadia (7-6, 3-1) each had three corner kicks.

Widener next travels to Elizabethtown for a Commonwealth Conference game on Saturday beginning at 4:30 pm.
