Widener ran into a tough squad in Haverford and suffered a 14-3 loss at the Tri-Co Invitational in Swarthmore, PA.

Senior Jackie Elliott (Upper Darby, PA) scored twice with junior Calina Walz (Medford, NJ) adding one for the Pride (1-2).  Junior Mellany Broomall (Clarksboro, NJ) dished two assists and senior Brittany Dippolito (Pennsauken, NJ) had one.

Josei Ferri, Kayleigh Herrick-Reynolds and Perrin Downin all notched a hat trick for the Fords (3-0), who grabbed a 9-1 halftime lead.  Nora Proops scored twice and Alexa Pesce contributed an assist.

Widener next Saturday hosts Misericoria in both teams Middle Atlantic Conference opener, beginning at 1:00 pm.
