Widener could not overcome an early deficit and suffered a 7-2 loss to Augustana (IL) in Orlando, FL.

After both teams plated a run in the first inning, the Vikings (4-0) scored twice in the second and third innings for a 5-1 lead.

Sophomore Joe Sessa (Broomall, PA) pitched well in relief, yielding no runs and no hits with three strikeouts over three innings for the Pride (1-2).  Senior Colin Keelan (Ellicott City, MD) and sophomore Dan Sieracki (Cherry Hill, NJ) each singled with freshman Max McCarthy (Deptford, NJ) getting his first collegiate hit.
