Widener was dealt its first loss of the season with a 2-0 setback to Catholic at the Garnet Alumni Classic.

Matt Brady scored both goals for the Cardinals (2-0).  He netted the first in the 33rd minute off a cross and the second in the 74th minute off a rebound just outside the six-yard box.

Senior Hamed Correa (Cali, Colombia) made seven saves for the Pride (1-1) with freshman DJ DiPaola (Haverford, PA) and sophomore Brad Ziegler (Medford, NJ) each attempting two shots.

Quinn Daly had seven saves for Catholic.

Widener gets back on the pitch Sunday, concluding tournament play against Wesley at 3:00 pm.
