Widener's field hockey team on Saturday, October 10 will hold its annual “Breast Cancer Awareness Day” during its 1:00 pm home game against Albright.
All fans attending the game are asked to wear pink. Widener will show its support by wearing pink shirts during the contest.
Donations will be collected and all proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a global breast cancer movement founded in 1982.
The women's soccer team is one of eight Widener squads who have participated in awareness days and raised money. This includes football, women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, softball and women's lacrosse.
