Sophomore Brittany Balentine (Medford, NJ) scored in the third minute and Widener held on for a 1-0 win over Rutgers-Camden at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.

Balentine received a pass in the box from sophomore Brittany Harvis, (Delran, NJ) and shot it over goalkeeper Vanessa Maia.  With the win, the Pride (5-0-1) match their best start since opening with the same mark in 2006.

Junior Caryinna Yenchak (Ashley, PA) took three shots for Widener, which finished with a 7-1 advantage.

Senior Alee Gunter (Maple Shade, NJ) and freshman Vanessa Hejnas (Delran, NJ) combined for the Pride's fourth shutout in six games this season.  Hejnas made a stellar save in the 76th minute off a shot from Samantha Sharp to preserve the lead.

The Lady Raptors fell to 3-4.
