Junior Jackie Elliott (Upper Darby, PA) scored five times to reach 100 career goals in Widener's 15-9 victory at Bryn Mawr.
Elliott hit the mark with 1:11 remaining in the first half for her second goal of the game, lifting the Pride to a 6-6 tie. The reigning Commonwealth Conference and ECAC Metro/South Player of the Week has a career-best 49 goals this season, tied for the 10th-best mark in school history.
Widener (6-7) scored the first six goals in the second half over 12 1/2 minutes to open a 12-6 lead. Freshman Jen Harnden (Hershey, PA) netted three goals in that span.
Harnden also finished with five goals and sophomore Mellany Broomall (Clarksboro, NJ) netted three for the Pride, who posted a 35-27 shots advantage. Freshman Linda Salcedo (Media, PA) made 12 saves and sophomore Lauren Fidati (Forest Hill, MD) totaled six ground balls and five caused turnovers.
Georgia Lawrence scored three goals and Miranda Gordon-Zigel stopped 14 shots for the Owls (3-12).
