Baseball Ends Florida Trip With 12-4 Triumph Over Saint Vincent (PA)

Widener jumped on Saint Vincent (PA) early and cruised to a 12-4 victory in the finale of its trip to the Disney World Complex in Orlando, FL.

The Pride (4-4) left no doubt by opening a 12-2 lead after 3 1/2 innings and ended the game with 15 hits.

Sophomore Alex Oliver (Lebanon, NJ) had three hits and three RBI with junior Tom Connelly (Media, PA) adding three hits and an RBI. Junior Colin Keelan (Ellicott City, MD) and freshman Sean Saverio (Horsham, PA) each drove home two.

Freshman Jason Ferrie (Royersford, PA) got the win, permitting two runs – one earned – and two hits over three innings with three strikeouts. Sophomore Kevin Culbert (Brookhaven, PA) gave up two runs and four hits over four innings.

Widener on Tuesday visits Kean for a 3:00 pm start.
