Trailing 6-5 entering the top of the third inning, Widener (11-8-1) plated six to open an 11-6 lead.  Sophomore Tom Mahoney (Norristown, PA) keyed the frame with a two-run single that gave the Pride a 7-6 cushion.

McHale homered in the sixth and Morgan led off the seventh with his blast, both going well past the 351-foot mark in left field.  McHale's RBI are one off his career best, set last season against Augustana.  McHale, Morgan and sophomore Tom DeAngelis (Pottstown, PA) closed with three hits apiece.

Norristown, PA freshman Salvatore Spera (1-1) got the victory, striking out six and yielding three runs -- one earned -- and four hits over five innings.

Sam Menzen (0-2) took the loss, allowing six runs -- one earned -- and three hits over just 2/3 of an inning.  Jimmy Gill had a home run and three RBI for the Garnet (8-11), who could not overcome six errors.
