Women's Lacrosse Rolls to 20-6 Victory Over King's

Junior Jackie Elliott (Upper Darby, PA) continued her scoring prowess with five goals and two assists for Widener, 20-6 victors over Middle Atlantic Conference foe King's at Edith R. Dixon Field.
 
Elliott scored four times in the opening half for the Pride (4-5, 1-3 MAC), who bolted to a 15-3 lead. Senior Grace Cavanaugh (Voorhees, NJ) and sophomore Mellany Broomall (Clarksboro, NJ) netted all three of their goals in the half.
 
Junior Brittany Dippolito (Pennsauken, NJ) scored three times, sophomore Calina Walz (Medford, NJ) had seven draw controls and freshman Linda Salcedo (Media, PA) made five saves over 30 minutes for Widener.
 
Walz and freshmen Jen Harnden (Hershey, PA), Anna Geeter (Jackson, NJ), Emily Solt (Claymont, DE), Emily Shumaker (Belcamp, MD) and Andrea Lorusso (Cinnaminson, NJ) all tallied once for the Pride.
 
Elliott has 12 goals and 16 points over her last two contests.
 
Candice Russ netted three goals and Taylor Tyne had two for the Lady Monarchs (0-7, 0-4).
 
Widener on Wednesday is home against FDU-Florham, beginning at 4:00 pm.
