Women's Lacrosse Falls to No. 20 Elizabethtown

Widener faced a formidable foe in No. 20 Elizabethtown, dropping a 23-4 Middle Atlantic Conference game at Edith R. Dixon Field.
 
Elizabethtown took control by grabbing a 13-3 halftime lead. Katie Foley scored four goals in the half and Anna Ford netted three.
 
Ford ended with four goals and Kelsea Kozak contributed three for the Blue Jays (5-2, 2-0 MAC). Foley dished four assists and Kozak had two.
 
Senior Grace Cavanaugh (Voorhees, NJ), junior Brittany Dippolito (Pennsauken, NJ), sophomore Calina Walz (Medford, NJ) and freshman Jen Harden (Hershey, PA) scored for the Pride (3-4, 0-2). Freshman Shelley O'Neill (Brookfield, NH) ended with seven saves over 30 minutes.
 
Widener next Wednesday visits Manhattanville, beginning at 4:00 pm.
