Trailing 3-2 entering the top of the fourth inning in game two, Widener (17-5, 2-3 CC) got an RBI single from freshman Tom Mahoney (Norristown, PA) for a 3-3 tie. DeAngelis followed with a two-run double that scored Mahoney and junior Colin McHale (Wynnewood, PA) for a 5-3 cushion.

The Pride in the fifth got an RBI single from sophomore Tom Connelly (Media, PA) for a 6-3 margin. The lead grew to 7-3 in the sixth when DeAngelis scored on an error by left fielder Jeff Kulp.

Harner (4-1) notched his fourth straight victory, yielding three runs and nine hits over seven innings with four strikeouts. Senior Matt Fischer (Bensalem, PA), who had his 13-game hitting streak snapped in the opener, ended the contest with two hits as did Connelly.

Quakertown, PA junior Ryan Walter (4-2) allowed seven runs – six earned – and 10 hits over 5 1/3 innings with four strikeouts. McHale had a two-run double in the second and freshman Mike Cahill (Spring Lake, NJ) led off the seventh with his third home run of the year.
