4/26/08 -- Widener closed the regular season by splitting a Commonwealth Conference doubleheader with Lebanon Valley, notching a 4-1 victory in the opener before a 7-5 loss in the nightcap.
Widener (24-12, 5-7 CC) in the second inning got a two-run single from freshman
Tom Mahoney (Norristown, PA) that proved to be the difference.

Tristan Harner (6-2) gave up one run and four hits over seven innings for the Pride.
Nathan Blough (1-6) allowed four runs and 11 hits over 4 2/3 innings for the Dutchmen (12-23, 1-11).
Lebanon Valley in game two got two RBI from John Mentzer, including a solo home run in the third inning. Brandon Thompson also had two RBI.
Nick Faria (3-3) allowed four runs and seven hits over 4 2/3 innings. Jacob Becker permitted one run and three hits over 2 1/3 innings for the save.
Collegeville, PA freshman
Jason Brooke (2-1) gave up one run and three hits over 2 1/3 innings for the Pride.
These schools on Tuesday face each other in game one of the Commonwealth Conference Tournament in Chester. Widener is the fourth seed in the field and LVC is the No. 5 seed. The winner advances to the double-elimination part of the tournament, which begins Thursday in West Lawn, PA.
