4/12/08 -- Widener ran into a formidable foe in Lycoming, suffering an 18-6 Middle Atlantic Conference loss in Williamsport, PA.

The Lady Warriors (8-5, 4-1 MAC) scored the first six goals with Christi Karr and Sarah Wingerden netting two apiece. Senior Rebecca Corrado (Pottstown, PA) and sophomore Jackie Elliott (Upper Darby, PA) also tallied in the first half, but the Pride (3-8, 1-3 MAC) were down 9-2 at halftime.
Corrado and Elliott had two goals and an assist for Widener, which was on the wrong end of a 37-29 shots margin.

Wingerden, Karr and Megan Wallenhorst each had a hat trick and Heather Suit dished four assists for Lycoming.

Widener is home Wednesday against Arcadia, beginning at 7:00 pm.
