3/20/08 -- Sophomore Jackie Elliott (Upper Darby, PA) scored three goals, but it was not enough for Widener in a 15-8 loss at Eastern in St. Davids, PA.

Eastern (2-2) raced to an 8-2 halftime lead as Erin Reimel and Anne Dietrich each scored twice.

Elliott posted her third hat trick of the season and freshman Mellany Broomall (Clarksboro, NJ) netted a pair for Widener (1-4). Freshman Jill Cummings (Ocean Twsp., NJ) made 10 saves and senior Tara Krasley (Collegeville, PA) added two assists.

Reimel scored four goals and Jessie Basch added three and two assists for the Eagles. Kimberly Campbell made 17 saves, including 12 in the second half.

Widener is home next Thursday against Scranton, beginning at 4:00 pm.
