3/15/08 -- Widener's impressive second half was not enough in a 17-10 loss at Muhlenberg in Allentown, PA.

Widener (1-2) scored nine goals in the second half, including the last five. Senior Kerri Schulz (Philadelphia, PA) netted all three of her goals during that stretch for the Pride, who notched a 21-7 shots edge after intermission.

Jackie Elliott (Upper Darby, PA) also scored three times and fellow sophomore Brittany Dippolito (Pennsauken, NJ) netted a pair for Widener. Elliott also notched eight ground balls and freshman Jill Cummings (Ocean Township, NJ) made 11 saves.

Taylor Armstrong scored four times for Muhlenberg (4-1), which opened a 12-0 lead late in the first half. Sara Hiller and Amanda McGovern notched a hat trick apiece.

Widener is home Tuesday against Swarthmore, beginning at 7:00 pm.
