Matt Fischer (Bensalem, PA) launched a two-run homer and Connelly added a three-run blast, both their first long balls of the year.

Pat Santry (Newtown, PA) collected two hits for the Pride, who totaled nine hits versus eight for the Cougars (4-8). Freshman
Tom DeAngelis (Pottstown, PA) notched three stolen bases and easily leads the team with nine.

Richard Brovero (2-0) was solid in his first collegiate start, yielding one run on four hits over six innings with three strikeouts. Freshman
Matt Hoffman (Sykesville, MD) permitted one run and four hits over three innings for the save.
Jamie Phillipi and Nate Newman each collected two hits for Misericordia. Darren Morgan (0-3) surrendered eight runs, five walks and six hits over three innings.
Widener is home Saturday for a doubleheader against University of the Sciences, beginning at 12:00 pm.
