(boxscore)

Widener was handed a 2-1 Commonwealth Conference loss by Arcadia at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.

The Knights (6-10, 1-3 CC) got on the board in the 75th minute on Jon Toomey's first goal of the season.  Ethan Armstrong tallied in the 80th minute on Matt Benner's second assist of the match for a 2-0 contest.

Sophomore Matt Nolan (Hatboro, PA) scored his first goal of the season in the 88th minute off a pass from freshman Preston Dudley (Grasonville, MD) for the final.

Sophomore Doug Gabel (Feasterville, PA) took five shots for the Pride, who posted a 13-6 shots edge.

Widener is tied for fourth place in the conference with Elizabethtown and holds the tiebreaker by virtue of winning the team's match-up on October 11.

The Pride on Saturday can clinch a bid to the conference tournament with a victory over Lycoming.  The match begins at 4:30 pm, which follows the women's game at 2:00 pm.
