Kim Sharpless' Late Goal Propels Women's Soccer to Fourth Straight Win, 1-0 at FDU-Florham

Junior Kim Sharpless (Millville, NJ) scored with 15:10 remaining for Widener, which won its fourth straight with a 1-0 triumph at FDU-Florham in Madison, NJ.

Sharpless took a pass from sophomore Traci Farrell (Clayton, NJ) and netted her fourth goal of the season for Widener (5-3-1), which ended with a 13-6 shots edge.

Junior Alee Gunter (Maple Shade, NJ) made it stand with three saves for the Pride, who posted their fifth shutout of the season and have allowed just one goal during the winning streak.  Junior Sam Baer (Lancaster, PA) fired five shots.

Brittany Kanickij had four shots and Lauren Albrecht made five saves in 45 minutes for the Devils (4-7).

Widener on Saturday visits No. 7 Messiah on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
