9/8/07 -- Senior Sam Hand (Millville, NJ) scored twice during a four-goal first half for Widener, 4-0 winners over Centenary at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.

Sophomore Sam Baer (Lancaster, PA) netted her team-leading fifth goal of the season in the 13th minute to open the scoring for the Pride (3-1). Hand took over from there, scoring on a penalty kick in the 25th minute and depositing her third goal of the season four minute later off Baer's assist.

Freshman Rachel Kyprianou (Shrewsbury, PA) scored her first collegiate goal in the 41st minute off a pass from senior Stacey Vaitis (Lansdale, PA). This helped Widener end the half with a 7-2 goals edge, en route to a 10-4 overall margin.

Sophomore Alee Gunter (Maple Shade, NJ) made one save and freshman Rochele Jacobs (Northfield, NJ) also played 45 minutes for Widener.

Coree Reuter and Kelley Michanczyk each made three saves for the Cyclones (0-2-1).

Widener is home Sunday to host Trinity (CT) at 1:00 pm.
